Clerk to the Trust Board
Hours: 6 hours per week, term-time only

Salary: PS6 £3,402 - £3,756 part-time (£23,951 - £26,438 full-time)
The Trustees of Athena Schools Trust invite applications for a Clerk to the Trust Board to start work as soon as possible. The Trustees are the strategic leaders of the Trust and contribute fully to its success. The Clerk will be accountable to the Board, working effectively with them, the Chair of Trustees and the Executive Headteacher.
The Clerk’s main role is to provide professional clerking services to the Trust Board and its committees. You will:
- Be able to take accurate minutes from your own notes (via laptop or scribed) to then produce well-presented minutes for distribution
- Collate and distribute agendas and associated paperwork in advance of meetings
- Be available to take minutes at all meetings throughout the year. Meetings are normally held on Wednesdays mornings at 8:00am, or Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm.
- Provide procedural and legal advice and guidance
Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. Candidates should be competent in the use of email and the internet and have access to a computer. You should have an interest in education, be tactful and able to deal with matters confidentially. You should be reliable and have a good sense of humour.
